Swing and a Miss!

While Vespa has seen a growing share of the American Scooter Market, they still lag behind the more established Japanese brands. Perhaps that innate Italian sense of style is on the fritz?

Their new 2008 Vespa S has been designed as a throw back to a classic 70's look. Hmm? When I think of classic retro time periods, the 70's definitely does not jump to my mind. On the up side I think I have an old vacuum cleaner with the same head lamp on it... Sorry Vespa this is one ugly scoot!

Umm???

Neat Trick but don't get any ideas...

"If it's shown on television, maybe someone will recognize them and maybe they can be caught."After hearing her story, radio station 101 The Fox rallied behind Fox and contacted Gail's Harley Davidson, which gave Fox a new scooter."I just want to thank everyone for being so nice. This is all I had was a scooter, and so now, I have wheels again. It just means everything to me. Thank you," Fox said. But I need to sit down and talk with them and ask them why," Fox said.Fox said she hopes the pair can be helped.

Woman Makes 1,100-Mile Scooter Trip For Cancer Research

An Amherst woman plans to travel from New Hampshire to Georgia at a painstaking 35 mph to raise money for breast cancer research. Barbara Landry said she will ride 1,100 miles on her scooter in honor of her sister-in-law, Dale Burns Golinski, who died from breast cancer last year. Landry and her mother are also both cancer survivors. If everything goes as plans, Landry's "Trails For Dale" will end on Aug. 9, the anniversary of the day Golinski passed away."Part of it was about bringing Dale with me, journeying with her and spreading joy," Landry said.Because of the scooter's slow speed, the trip will be made on back roads. A friend joined Landry to the Massachusetts border, and Landry's mother, aunt and, eventually, two children will ride nearby in a minivan, communicating by walkie-talkie.On the back of the scooter is a flag and a photo of Golinski."Whether it's hot, whether it's cold -- it's all about staying joyful and appreciative every day," Landry said. "It's the inspiration Dale gave us."
